Senior Advisor Aslaug Aarsæther

Aslaug is a Senior Adviser in communications who is passionate about the North. You can reach out to her if you have any questions about Arctic Frontiers.

Her background is in media and documentary production, and she has extensive experience working with writing, photography and filming. Aslaug has previously worked for the Norwegian public service broadcaster NRK and has directed an independent documentary shown at international film festivals.

Aslaug has a Master’s degree in Comparative Politics from the University of Bergen (UiB), as well as a Bachelor’s in Journalism (UiB) and a Bachelor’s in Political Science from UiT The Arctic University of Norway. She is an experienced communicator with extensive experience in collaborating across cultures. Her international background includes fieldwork in Angola for her master’s thesis, volunteer work in Mozambique through a student organization exchange, and studying abroad at UC Berkeley, California, as well as study programs in Pondicherry, India, Copenhagen, Denmark, and Valencia, Spain.
