The Arctic also influences the world; there are lessons to be learned from Arctic cooperation. For instance, we basically have no territorial disputes left...even if we have geopolitical division. We have been able to develop practical, concrete, bottom-up cooperation that actually delivers - that is something to learn from. And of course, climate change goes faster here than anywhere else on the planet. What happens in the Arctic will not stay in the Arctic...the Arctic currents have been the refrigerator of the planet. Imagine a kitchen with or without a refrigerator, which would you prefer?
