Communicating biodiversity across the science - policy barrier
- 17/06/2026
- 9:00 am
- Ny Ålesund meeting room, Fram Centre, Hjalmar Johansens gate 14, 9007 Tromsø
Conserving the unique biodiversity of northern regions requires collaboration at all levels of society. As part of the CAP-SHARE project, and in partnership with Fram Centre, we will be hosting a workshop on sharing and communicating biodiversity knowledge between science, policymakers and the community.
The biodiversity of Arctic regions is threatened by factors such as rapid climate change, habitat disturbance, and human activity. Strengthening the relationships between scientists, policymakers, and Arctic communities allows all types of knowledge to be shared and utilised in further conservation action, allowing us to better work together for the future protection of Arctic biodiversity.
All are welcome to learn how questions of biodiversity around northern Norway are being tackled through collaboration and cooperation across sectors. After a series of presentations there will be an open discussion. This is a free event as part of the Fram Talks series. We encourage you to register here: AF Open Biodiversity
