This year’s Student Forum is organised in collaboration with Háskóla Íslands á Hólum, with generous funding from the Nordic Atlantic Cooperation Fund (NORA) and Global Affairs Canada. The purpose of the Student Forum is to increase capacity and network amongst Arctic youth. Through the Student Forum, the participants get the opportunity to build professional skills, partake in cross-cultural exchange and develop their own visions for the future of the region.

- [Urban Sustainability in the Arctic: Young Scientist School](https://arcticfrontiers.com/highlights/urban-sustainability-in-the-arctic-young-scientist-school/): Building smart, sustainable cities requires the collaboration of many stakeholders including local governments, architects, environmental safety experts, meteorologists, social scientists and community members. Urban areas must be accessible and user-friendly, whilst taking into account the health and wellbeing of its citizens. They should also use new technological developments to use energy and resources effectively. The Arctic has additional challenges including poor infrastructure and harsh climatic conditions. But that is not unique to the Arctic. Many developing countries also face the similar challenges. 
- [Science for Schools Program at 2023 Inspiration Days Inspires Next Generation of Scientists](https://arcticfrontiers.com/highlights/science-for-schools-program-at-2023-inspiration-days-inspires-next-generation-of-scientists/): Arctic Frontiers has held the 2023 Inspiration Days under the Arctic Frontiers Science for Schools program in collaboration with Science Centre of Northern Norway (Nordnorsk Vitensenter). The Science for Schools program is designed to inspire and engage high school students in science subjects, fostering a love for science and exploration among young minds. More than 400 students and 30 teachers from all around Tromsø attended the 2023 Inspiration Days, spread over three days in October and November 2023.
- [Arctic Innovation Week](https://arcticfrontiers.com/highlights/arctic-innovation-week/): Arctic Frontiers contributed to the 2023 Arctic Innovation Week, a unique initiative designed to showcase and foster innovation and entrepreneurship in the Arctic. From 16 to 22 October stakeholders implemented a wide variety and number of projects. Active youth engagement is essential for sustainable development. Arctic Innovation week is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young minds and further engagement with real-life business opportunities and challenges facing the Arctic.
- [Science for Kids Program Sets Sail in Tromsø](https://arcticfrontiers.com/highlights/science-for-kids-program-2023-2024-sets-sail-in-tromso/): Arctic Frontiers and Nordnorsk Vitensenteret have set the stage for an exciting scientific voyage and joined forces to host the "Science for Kids" program. Running its first Autumn 2023 sessions from September 12 to 14, 2023, this unique initiative is designed to ignite curiosity about research in young minds and foster a positive attitude towards knowledge and scientific inquiry.
- [Arctic Stories: Combining Science, Art and Emerging Technologies](https://arcticfrontiers.com/highlights/arctic-stories-combining-science-art-and-emerging-technologies/): Arctic Stories is an initiative between Garage Stories (Spain/USA), Tvibit Film (Norway) and New Images Festival (France). The goal is to create an immersive project with the use of emerging technologies, such as virtual reality and artificial intelligence, to show the impact of climate change in the Arctic.
- [The Northern Path to Green Transition – What’s the North’s Role?](https://arcticfrontiers.com/highlights/the-northern-path-to-green-transition-whats-the-norths-role/): The northern and Arctic regions are seeing increased interest in collaboration regarding global issues such as the green transition, which describes the movement away from fossil-fuel based energies to renewable alternatives. ‘Carbon dioxide and the impacts of global warming don’t restrict themselves by our country borders, so mechanisms for cooperation are needed’ continued Fredrikson, as she spoke in a session which focused on Arctic cooperation and governance.
